July 19th

Well, Ashley and I were awoken by the sound of a wide awake 4 year old. I got up at 7:30 and she at 8. Apparently the kid had been awake since 5:30am. He was blowing really hard into a recorder flute and then banging on things. He finally got settled down when Gabi put him infront of some cartoons. And then Gabi left to go get some bread. She returned about 8:30 and had breakfast ready about 9. We had some more gallo pinto, scrambled eggs, and fresh out of the oven bread. I'm really loving this bread. lol The kid, named Fabio, started throwing a tantrum even after Gabi tried to do everything to please this kid. 

You want gallo pinto? NO 

You want eggs? NO 

You want pineapple? NO 

You want coffee? YES 

You want bread? YES. 

So Gabi went to set some pineapple on the table for the rest of us and Fabio came running and trying to snatch the pineapple out of her hands. Making a big fuss. When she finally set it down he picked it up and took it back to the kitchen. When she handed him bread he said he had to have it hot. So Gabi heated it up in the microwave. Then she put gallo pinto on his plate and he started fussing again and said he wanted it as a sandwich. Gabi made a sandwich. He took a bite out of his sandwich and then started making the tears to throw a tantrum. Gabi came over and noticed that his face wasn't happy and asked what was wrong and he pointed at Ashley. And then Ashley and I quickly put our dishes in the sink and went to our rooms and decided that we were going to go to the Mall for the rest of the day hoping the kid would go home sometime today.

Earlier in the morning he tried to get into my room (after being gently told no twice lastnight for doing so). Gabi told him, you don't go into the girls rooms, come here. When he finally went to her she hugged and kissed him and told him he was the cutest kid in the world...

So then Ashley and I got to the mall at about 11:30am and found a table in the food court area that was actually next to a power outlet. I checked my email and updated my blog. After that I began to work on my final paper for my composition class and finished the first draft a bit after one. Then I chatted with Steven a bit before going to find some lunch. I had lunch at the "Hamburger Factory"...it wasn't very good. I think a burger king hamburger tastes better. And their ketchup tasted of pickles...gross. The fries were fair though. 

Right before I went to get lunch there were a whole bunch of noises and then it got pretty quiet in here for a minute. And then everyone started to stare at something right over my head. It startled me for a second until I realized that there's a TV directly above me. And guess what, the CR soccer team is playing today! hahaha When I went to go print my paper at one of the Cyber Cafes here in the mall I noticed that almost all the stores had a TV in 'em and they were all watching the game and there were people crowded around almost all of the TVs. Down one story is an area that has several rows of chairs lined up and they're watching the game down there as well! lol The game was 5-1 I believe and just a few minutes ago there was another collective gasp from the entire mall. lol A lot of people are wearing jersys in here as well. They were playing Guadeloupe. (which is in the Caribbean, but is a department of France...a part of the EU, using Euros and everything...I thought that was pretty neat, since I didn't know that before)

Well, I think now I might go to some other area of the mall, maybe get some ice cream. I've got about another hour to kill before I start heading home. Well, tomorrow begins the last week of classes!
