July 14th

Well, the itchy irritated throat that started lastnight didn't get better with sleep. I was given honey and lemon lastnight and this morning I was given warm salt water to gargle. Nothing else is sick feeling, just that spot in my throat. During my first class I was doing alright until the end when I started to feel a bit warm. So in between my classes I went to the MLSA ladies and told them I wasn't feeling so great and one of them took me to a pharmacy (they're different here; they're like mini-doctors). Told the pharmicist my symptoms and she gave me some pills and a spray. We'll see how that does. I'm not feeling warm anymore though, so I don't think I have a fever; no other feverish symptoms either. In talking to the MLSA lady she said that they've had several people come in feeling a bit sick and that there was a big weather change this past weekend that was making people's allergies flare up and stuff. I might be being affected by that as well. I have been sneezing a lot more the past few days.

And the exam I had today in Composition....I don't think it went too well. And from the looks of people's faces and talking to people after class, a lot of us didn't think it went well. I understand the concepts and grammer, but she asked questions and gave directions with vocabulary words I don't have and she said she couldn't explain the stuff to us, that we should have studied more...urgh.

I was 10 minutes late to my Conversation class because the farmacia that the lady took me to was a bit of a hike, but I don't think I missed anything. They were still talking about beer, wine, and going out drinking lastnight. I told the professor where I had been when I walked in.

Well, I'm going to go relax for a while and then going to go see the Teatro Nacional (National Theatre) and then relax some more. Probably get some hot tea from my cafe rather than a milkshake.

:-) Rek
